New partnership: FVS-AMADE Burundi

It is with great enthusiasm that we announce our new partner: FVS-AMADE Burundi! This organization has served Burundi for 22+ years, and has a mission to protect orphans and vulnerable children and promote the economic autonomy of vulnerable households for the ultimate well-being of children.

FVS-AMADE has self-identified their needs for intensive Monitoring and Evaluation in order to better demonstrate and evaluate their work. Through our partnership, we will work to train their local staff to strengthen their capabilities and sustain their processes of Monitoring and Evaluation, with a long-term goal of greater community-led independence.

We have been graciously awarded a grant from the Segal Family Foundation to support Phase I of this project. Stay tuned for how you can get involved to ensure that Phase II of this important work will come to fruition!

Upcoming training on Disability Inclusion

On Thursday, May 18, we are proud to co-host a training on Disability Inclusion with Uhambo at the Posner Center for International Development. Participants will learn how to thoroughly include disabled persons in designing and implementing programs and service delivery. The training is created for adult learning with interactive Case Studies, Lessons Learned, and Best Practices.

Save The Date: Thursday May 18th. We will be posting further information on how to register soon.

Thanks to the 2017 Posner Center International Collaboration Fund, this Training will be complementary for Posner Tenants and Members; non-members will be asked to pay only a nominal fee. For those unable to attend in-person, there are remote attendance options.

Celebrate the Women and Mothers in your family!

As this Mother’s Day approaches, the emBOLDen Team would like to offer our gratitude for all of the Women and Mothers who keep this world strong and healthy. We also invite you to celebrate a Mother in your life by giving her the gift of global impact from the eA store. The unique, handcrafted antique silk scarves came from the Indian saris of our ED’s mother, and many of the incredible original and print drawings tell the stories of women and mothers with whom we have worked. Happy Mother’s Day!
