Co-Founders Dr. Neena Jain and Bill Rohs reflect on our anniversary

Co-Founders Dr. Neena Jain and Bill Rohs recently answered a few questions about what it means to reach three years. Below are excerpts from their interviews. Links to their full interviews are posted below.

“Partnership is about exchange, listening, empathy, and compassion. We put aside our own agenda for a greater social good, which is defined by the communities themselves.”
-Dr. Neena Jain, Executive Director/Co-Founder of eA

“It’s great to witness that ‘Aha Moment’ with our partners when the figure something out. Then it’s theirs. They own it, and they can move forward with it. Three years! And we look forward to what’s next.”

In case you missed it…

Last weekend, Dr. Jain presented a 2-hour workshop on “PT’s Role In Humanitarian Crises” at the American Physical Therapy Association 2017 Combined Sections Meeting in San Antonio, Texas.
Over 70 Physical Therapists participated in this workshop with great conversations and energizing questions. Almost 1/2 had done some kind of work in humanitarian assistance/disaster response before, but none had received training on topics that we delivered. We are excited for further collaborations and to conduct more trainings such as these to give PT’s their rightful roles in building better together.

Don’t miss these upcoming events…

  • Feb 23: Panelist with Harm Reduction Action Center on vulnerable populations, drug use, global health, and international development.
  • Mar 8: emBOLDen Alliances will be celebrated as WorldDenver’s International Women’s Day Nonprofit Honoree.
