Collaborative Initiatives

Haiti, Uganda, Egypt Internship Series

emBOLDen Alliances provided technical assistance to a new NGO based in South Africa whose mission is to help remote communities along the southern coast of Haiti. These communities have been hit hard by the devastating earthquake in 2010 and continue to be routinely cut off by road conditions and weather. We helped them develop and refine their objectives to build capacity with these communities for medical and maternal evacuation, livelihood strengthening, and art education.

We helped to develop a collaborative project to assist a medical clinic in Uganda integrate and expand their health programming as well as to better track and maintain inventories.

We investigated community-driven initiatives to build empowerment and opportunity amongst women porters in mountainous regions of Uganda.

We advised a collaborative initiative to coordinate various organizations working on menstrual management and hygiene programs in conjunction with social entrepreneurship.

We were invited to lead a collaborative proposal amongst NGO’s and academic institutions to create and deliver a series building “hard” and “soft” skills for individuals and organizations involved in internships.
