Jenny McCurdy, Bill Rohs, and Dr. Neena Jain are thrilled to participate in the Students Shoulder to Shoulder (SStS) Global Solutions Forum in Vail this month.

With Vail Mountain School and other SStS partner high school partner participants, we will be sharing emBOLDen Alliance’s perspectives and field experiences on:

  1. Translating Compassion into Action: Lessons in Listening
  2. How might I get there from here?  Career paths in the Global Community

We are also honored to engage with SStS and five of their NGO partners working with communities in Cambodia, US, Nepal, Bolivia, and Kenya.  Collaboratively and cross-culturally, we will explore organization, community, and key stakeholder definitions of resilience and sustainability.  We then put these ideals into tangible practice through Leadership, Operations, Programming, and Monitoring and Evaluation.

The primary purpose of the Global Solutions Forum is to create an opportunity for the SStS community to collaborate in support of effective strategies in global development and education. A variety of sessions allow for the exchange of mutually beneficial ideas and resources, the creation of curriculum, and the development of advocacy skills.  Check out Students Shoulder to Shoulder at www.shouldertoshoulder.com.
